For Immediate Release

(10/31/08 - Mooresville, NC) - Sidney, Ohio’s Brandon Knupp heads back to his home state this weekend for the Buckeye Bowl Indoor Midget Nationals at the Ohio State Fairgrounds Coliseum in Columbus, Ohio.

Although recently at the Nashville Superspeedway Knupp was at the wheel in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. No stranger to midget racing, in the past few years Knupp’s managed to compete in several indoor midget events including The Rumble in Ft. Wayne, The Chili Bowl and the Buckeye Bowl in Columbus.

The last outing in his own midget was at The Rumble in Ft. Wayne back in December of last year where he produced a third place finish in the Friday night opener.

“I really enjoy racing the midget when I find the time, said Knupp, the indoor races have always appealed to me and we have a lot of fun doing them.” Knupp added, “It’s pretty cool when you think about it, I wish we could race the big cars indoors.”

Knupp and his team will have their midget at the Ohio State Fairgrounds Coliseum on Saturday, November 1. The first practice session for all divisions will roll off at 9:00 AM, followed by heat races, an autograph interview session from 5:45 to 6:45 PM, time trials at 5:00 PM, with the featured events to begin at 7:00 PM, with a full Rumble Midget program.
