FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(5/4/06 - Mooresville, NC) - Brandon Knupp and MK Racing travel to the "World's Fastest Half-Mile", Winchester Speedway in Indiana this weekend for the ARCA 200 presented by Construct Corps. The ARCA RE/MAX Series returns to the famed half-mile for the first time since 2003. Winchester is well known for hard racing and close finishes and this event should be no different.
"I'm really excited about getting to Winchester." Said Knupp, "We had a good car at Salem and our short rack program is coming along, so we should be even better at Winchester."
Although Brandon has never raced an ARCA RE/MAX car at Winchester he has been there in a midget. However, Knupp is not heading into the Winchester race completely blindsided, he will be driving a Ford Fusion prepared by veteran driver and crew chief Bob Schacht.
"I feel really comfortable heading to Winchester, with all of Bob's knowledge leading into the race, I already feel like I've got a grasp on what to expect and don't foresee any time to get acclimated to the track." Brandon added, "Bob and all the guys at Bob Schacht Motorsports have really helped us a ton, we might not have made it to Winchester without their help."
Brandon and MK Racing will be at Winchester Speedway for the single day event on Sunday May 7. Practice for the ARCA 200 presented by Construct Corps begins at 9:30 am, with Pork Pole Qualifying at 12:30 pm. The green is scheduled to drop on the 200 lap event at 2:30 pm.
