Knupp Grabs 12th Place Finish in Cash4Gold Ford at Nashville
Monday, August 11, 2008
(8/10/08 - Lebanon, TN) – Brandon Knupp and the #96 Cash4Gold team persevered in the Toyota 150 ARCA RE/MAX Series event at the Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday. Knupp drove to respectable 12th place finish.
“We were really good on the long runs,” Knupp explained. “It’s a challenge when you have to work your way through the field like we did. But our Cash4Gold team did a great job keeping up with the track and getting our #96 dialed in through the race. If we would have had a few more long green flag runs we would have been right there with the leaders.”
Knupp began the race in the 23rd position and kept the nose of the Cash4Gold Ford clean throughout the race.
“It was a good race for our Cash4Gold Ford Fusion,” Knupp said after the race. “I really want to thank Cash4Gold for coming on board with us. We just kept digging, kept making adjustments on the car and getting better as the race went on. We’ll take what we learned back to the shop and make some adjustments and get things ready for the next one.”
Knupp also saw double duty action at the Nashville Superspeedway. He competed in the
Toyota Tundra 200, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event on Saturday evening following the ARCA RE/MAX event earlier in the afternoon.
Knupp drove the #07 ASI Limited Chevy Silverado to the 32nd starting spot. However, during the Toyota Tundra 200 an electrical problem forced an early exit for the ASI Limited Chevy and relegated Knupp to a 31st place finish.
