(2/12/07 - Daytona Beach, FL) - FDNY Racing and owner Jim Rosenblum have tapped 21 year old, Sidney, Ohio driver Brandon Knupp to wheel their NASCAR Craftsman Truck in Friday night's Chevy Silverado HD 250 at the Daytona International Speedway.

Knupp, although a newcomer to the NASCAR Crafstman Truck Series, has been in the driver's seat racing something from the age of 8. Knupp has perfected his skills in go karts, midgets, sprint cars, the ARCA Lincoln Welder's Truck Series as well as the ARCA RE/MAX Series and has competed on the 2.5 mile lightning fast high banks of Daytona in his own ARCA car.

The FDNY team participated in the Craftsman Truck Series test back in January where Knupp did get to test on the final day of the 3-day practice session and learned how different the truck felt and handled as compared to the ARCA car.

"This is an awesome opportunity for me to get to drive the FDNY Racing truck at Daytona," said Brandon, "I can't thank Jim Rosenblum and the entire team enough for putting their faith in me." Knupp added, "I really learned a lot about these trucks at the test back in January and I think we can pull this all together for the race on Friday. These are a great bunch of guys and we worked together really well at the test and I'm sure that will carry over here this week."

The Chevy Silverado HD 250 is set to take the green flag on Friday 2/16 at 8:00 PM with live coverage on SPEED beginning at 7:30 PM. Practice sessions for the NASCAR Crafstman Truck Series are scheduled for 2/14 4:30 to 5:30 PM with final practice from 11:45 AM to 1:15 PM on Thursday 2/15. Qualifying is set for Thursday 2/15 at 7:00 PM.
