Next Up For Knupp; 22nd Annual Dodge Chili Bowl Nationals

(1/4/08 - Mooresville, NC) - Sidney, Ohio's Brandon Knupp is headed west to Tulsa, Oklahoma to compete in the 22nd Annual Dodge Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.
Knupp fresh off a third place Friday night midget finish at the Rumble in Ft. Wayne, will not be behind the wheel of his own midget but will pick up the driving duties of the #15K owned by fellow midget competitor Rich Corson. With sponsorship for the prestigious event being supplied by Left Lane Race Gear, Midland Home Remodeling, Corson / Savage Racing and Mark Knupp Muffler & Tire.
With 2008 being Knupp's second start at the Chili Bowl Nationals he will be competing in the preliminary qualifying races on Tuesday January 8, leading up to the main events on Saturday January 12.
"The atmosphere at the Chili Bowl is just pure racing, says Knupp, " I mean there are so many cars there that there really isn't time to think about anything else and that's the way I like it." Knupp added, I just want to thank Rich Corson and his guys for giving me this opportunity to drive their equipment at the Chili Bowl, we're looking for good things to happen."
With more than 277 cars entered and 5 days of racing, Knupp has certainly got his work cut out for him, but is confident he is up for the challenge.
The 22nd Annual Dodge Chili Bowl Nationals kicks off on Tuesday January 8 with racing every night through the main event on Saturday January 12 at the Tulsa Raceway Expo Center.
For the first time ever, race fans can watch the prestigious Chili Bowl Nationals featuring a who’s who of racing stars, including NASCAR’s Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne, along with Brandon Knupp out of the ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, who’ll battle aboard 800-hp midgets for one of the most coveted trophies in motorsports.
