For Immediate Release

(7/9/07 – Mooresville, NC) - Sidney, Ohio’s Brandon Knupp is headed to the Kentucky Speedway this weekend to compete in the Built Ford Tough 225 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event, presented by the Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers.

Knupp, who grew up less than two hours from the Kentucky Speedway considers it to be his home track and during his tenure in the ARCA RE/MAX Series has had some impressive finishes at the 1.5 mile track in northern Kentucky.

Knupp, for the second time in the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season will join forces with the FDNY Racing team, led by crew chief Bob Rahilly and owner Jim Rosenblum as they did in the season opener at the Daytona International Speedway, coming away from that event with a strong debut for Brandon, finishing 18th.

“I've been looking forward to this Kentucky race for a while now,” Said Knupp, “We've been working on putting this deal together for a few months and I couldn't be happier about racing at Kentucky.” Knupp continued, “This is a pretty neat deal to be able to race in the NASCAR ranks so close to my hometown, I have a lot of friends and family coming out this weekend for the race and we're looking to give them a good show.” Brandon added, “I really appreciate Jim and everyone at FDNY Racing for giving me this second opportunity to drive their truck again.”

Brandon, being so close to the region has several media appointments while in Kentucky for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, including a television spot on WDTN- TV, a Q & A session on Saturday with the season ticket holders at Kentucky Speedway in the Outback Hospitality tent, among other interviews and tapings.

Brandon and the FDNY Racing Team along with all of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams will converge upon the Kentucky Speedway on Friday July 13, with the first practice session to run from 2:30 to 3:40 PM followed by Rookie Practice from 3:50 to 4:20 PM with final practice scheduled for 6:30 to 7:30 PM Friday evening leading up to the ARCA RE/MAX Series race.
